In Looking for Robert, Richard Copans looks back on the years he spent with Kramer. His tender gaze takes the form of a video letter to a friend, interspersed with sequences from Kramer's films and documents from their collaboration. Towards the end, the young lovers from the Bridgeport sequence in Route One/USA (1989) rehearse their wedding vows: Looking for Robert is also a declaration of love to Robert Kramer. (V.P.)
