In memoriam Heinrich Wille
December 16, 2018
Dr. Heinrich Wille (1938–2018) founded the Austrian Film Museum together with Peter Konlechner and Peter Kubelka in 1964 and remained active as its chairman until 2005. Alongside his work as lawyer and commitment as ÖVP politician, Heinrich Wille always championed the Austrian Film Museum, which named him honorary chairman in 2006 in gratitude for his indefatigable support. Heinrich Wille passed away this August – we commemorate his selfless energy with an evening that will include a screening of one of his favorite films: Sidney Lumet's 12 Angry Men. Before the screening, Peter Kubelka, Alexander Horwath and Film Museum chairman Daniel Charim will speak in remembrance.
