Premiere:
"The Lottery of the Sea" by Allan Sekula
April 2, 2005
On April 2, the influential American photo artist and Documenta participant Allan Sekula is world premiering his new video The Lottery of the Sea at the Film Museum. It is an unusual, essayistic “diary", which takes us from port to port, from coast to coast, and from the "innocent" summer of 2001 to the current "war on terror". (In cooperation with the Secession; work by Allan Sekula is included in the current Secession exhibition Die Regierung/The Government.)
