An Evening with Costa-Gavras
October 13, 2023
Born in 1933, multi prize-winning Greek French director Costa-Gavras made a name for himself early in his career as a key figure in European cinema with political thrillers like Z (1969) and État de siège (1972). He is also the president of the Cinémathèque française. In collaboration with the Institut français d'Autriche, we are very pleased to welcome him as a guest at the Film Museum, where he will participate in a discussion and present his latest exciting film Adults in the Room (2019). Adults in the Room is Costa-Gavras' first film shot in his homeland Greece and presents his unmistakable mix of enthralling social critique and popular cinema in a new context.
