Albert Sackl was born in Graz in 1977 and is among the most forceful representatives of the analog art film. In the use of single-frames and stop motion and the manipulation of filmic time, movement, and space, Sackl's films are based on the foundations of 20th century avant-garde film movements, but expand these in a way specific to the artist. They are experimental set-ups in which Sackl subjects himself as protagonist and filmmaker, object before the camera and subject of the film to technical parameters.
