Amos Gitai
Words with Gods
September 3, 2025
Currently on view at the Jewish Museum Vienna (until October 5, 2025), the exhibition G*D: Reflection between Heaven and Earth deals with a concept about something or someone that most people have very different and distinct conceptions of. For some, He/She/It is "the primordial source of all being" and the moral authority guiding their actions, for others it is a "great illusion," an invention created by humans to offer a sense of direction when faced with the incomprehensibility of their existence. Whether (a) God created man or man created God has always divided spirituality. One thing is certain – the phenomenon of God has had an effect on humanity since its beginnings. The goal of this event is to spark a discussion based on Amos Gitai's contribution to the omnibus film Words with Gods. (Daniela Schmid)
In the presence of Amos Gitai and the curators of the Jewish Museum Vienna, Daniela Schmid and Domagoj Akrap
