AudioVisual Feedback
sound:frame at the Film Museum

April 1, 2011

In recent years, Vienna’s sound:frame festival has become one of the most exciting events in the crossover domain of live digital art and music. For 2011, the Festival focuses on the theme of "perFORMance." To kick off this year's sound:frame Conference (April 1-3), the Film Museum presents an evening of performances and interviews. The show will consist of three elements: Austrian composer Bernhard Lang will present selected video works by the American artist Raphael Montañez Ortiz under the title Granular Analysis, followed by two live performances (and subsequent talks with the artists) – NotTheSameColor, a project by the Viennese audio-video duo Billy Roisz & dieb13, and cinemetry, a project by the Chemnitz artist, byetone (Olaf Bender from the raster-noton label). Visual, musical, and "gestural" processes interact with one another; the corresponding instruments produce: AudioVisual Feedback.

A presentation by sound:frame, in cooperation with the Film Museum and the Vienna Film Fund.
