Dossier Luis Buñuel

An entire evening with recent finds, background material and restorations relating to the work of a giant: Luis Buñuel. The documentary film A Propósito de Buñuel by José Luis López-Linares and Javier Rioyo will see its Austrian première. The second show consists of Menjant garotes (1930, a hitherto unknown short film by Buñuel), Noticiario del cine-club (a rare document of the avant-garde film scene in Madrid, circa1930), and the restored version of Un Chien Andalou – with two different soundtracks.
