As part of the joint retrospective of the Film Museum and the Viennale, "Animals. A Brief Zoology of Cinema“ in October/November 2015, Hollywood actress Tippi Hedren, famous for her roles in Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963) and Marnie (1964), honoured the Austrian Film Museum with her visit. On October 30, she spoke with Alexander Horwath about the beginning of her film career after having been discovered by Hitchcock in a "Sego" commercial as well as about his unsuccessful attempts in motivating actors and her traumatic experiences during the shooting of The Birds.
