Atelier de Conversation
AT 2017
Cinema is a space of encounters, a sphere where people from all over the world and various social backgrounds come into contact with each other, on the screen as well as in front of it. Bernhard Braunstein's Atelier de Conversation has taken advantage of this capacity. In the middle of Paris, at the Centre Pompidou is a meeting place where people from around the world meet to discuss thoughts, experiences, emotions while at the same time learning French. Braunstein places his camera in the centre of this room and watches as people tell stories, listen to each other and is displaying the same amount of respect and interest as the ones he's recording.
The screening (72 min) is followed by a discussion with director Bernhard Braunstein
