Michael Glawogger

Michael Glawogger, born 1959 in Graz is a travelling filmmaker. Not only does he travel around the world to make his films, he also travels between formats and genres, between photography and writing, between lightness and heaviness. After his studies at the San Francisco Art Institute and the Vienna Film Academy he works as a director, author and cameraman in Vienna, Bangkok and Znaim as well as Mexico, Thailand and Bangladesh. Many of his films – such as Megacities (1998), Workingman's Death (2004) and Slumming (2005) – have been internationally awarded. "In the Studio of..." will give an insight into the backgrounds and creative processes of his films.
