A Journey Through the Stories of Film History

Age 15 plus
The culture of telling stories is as old as humanity. Since the invention of the moving image, cinema has also used the art of storytelling. From the first comic book adaptation by the Lumière Brothers in 1895 to the "hero's journey" à la Star Wars and the refined and open narrative forms of modern film art – stories in movies captivate people around the whole world and have transformative effects on our society. But which stories merely reproduce old thought patterns? And which are worth re-imagining? An exciting journey from the beginnings of storytelling culture to utopic future scenarios.
