Neuer Betreiber für die Filmbar
Nach fünf Jahren als Betreiber der Filmbar im Österreichischen Filmmuseum, ging Johann Fuchs mit Ende Oktober 2024 in den wohlverdienten Ruhestand.
Für die Zukunft der Filmbar ist gesorgt: Manfred Stallmajer, Direktor des gegenüberliegenden Hotels The Guesthouse Vienna, wird den Betrieb der Gastronomie im Filmmuseum übernehmen. Im Lauf des Jahres wird die Filmbar sowohl optisch als auch konzeptionell erneuert. Der Charakter der Bar als beliebter Treffpunkt mit einem modernen, einladenden Ambiente wird aber auch in der neuen Ära bewahrt bleiben.
Michael Loebenstein, Direktor des Österreichischen Filmmuseums, unterstreicht die Bedeutung dieser Neuübernahme: "Ich freue mich, dass wir mit Manfred Stallmajer und seinem Team die Filmbar neu entwickeln werden. Für uns beide stehen Stil, Ambiente und Gastlichkeit im Mittelpunkt. Die neue Filmbar soll ein freundlicher Ort der Begegnung für unsere Kinobesucher*innen, aber auch für Nachbar*innen und Passant*innen sein – und das auf höchstem Niveau."
Manfred Stallmajer freut sich auf die neue Aufgabe: "Es ist eine große Ehre, die Filmbar im Filmmuseum ab 2025 mit meinem Team zu übernehmen. Unser Anspruch ist es, mit der sorgsamen Neugestaltung eine einladende Atmosphäre zu schaffen, die den Geist des Filmmuseums widerspiegelt, und ein genussvolles Gesamterlebnis für alle Besucher*innen bietet."
